YEA! students gain some of the most important knowledge and experience they need to succeed through their interactions with business professionals during the year. The time YEA! students spend with adults who encourage their futures is invaluable, and participants often report getting even more out of their participation than they put into it!
YEA! is held at a central location, Cabrini University in Radnor, every Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, beginning in November and ending in May.
Volunteers Needed
YEA! Investor Panelists
Students receive start-up capital through the generous donations of YEA! Investor Panelists. YEA!Investors provide a financial contribution and four hours of time during the Investor Panel event.
Instructor
Does the message of our program resonate with you? Serve as an instructor for our students and bring your business background and teaching expertise to the classroom. We are seeking qualified business owners and can serve as positive role model. (Weekly time commitment for up to ten weeks. Curriculum will be provided.)
Business Mentor
Work one-on-one with students to help craft solid business plans that cover marketing, financials, and strategy. Then continue this work by providing guidance during weekly classes. We are seeking qualified individuals who have experience with entrepreneurship and can serve as positive role models. (Six 1 ½ hour sessions during class Wednesday evenings.)
Graphic Designer
Design logos and presentations for student businesses — a great way to use your skill set for a good cause and build your portfolio! (Requires attendance for one in-class session.)
Mock Investor Panelist
Help young entrepreneurs practice for the final Investor Panel event by serving as a mock judge who asks questions as well as challenges and encourages ideas.
Social Media Volunteer
Manage our social media pages and increase our following by developing the YEA! Philadelphia brand.
Photography Volunteer
Help us capture special moments in the program year that can be used in our social media and marketing materials.
Field Trip Host
Students explore local businesses and understand how different enterprises work by touring local businesses and meeting with business professionals. These behind-the-scenes looks help students understand business structures, development, and growth. Field trip host provides overview from the business owner and tour of business. (Time commitment varies.)
Student recruitment committee helps us continue to recruit terrific students and remain the envy of all programs nationally and keep our Platinum reputation.
Development
Help us continue to thrive and raise even more startup funds for our students. If you would like to host an event or know of people who are passionate about teaching financial literacy and entrepreneurship to students, then we want you. No fundraising experience needed.
Website Volunteer
Assist us by improving our website and keeping it up to date with timely, relevant, and engaging content.
Community Advocate
Partner with us to spread the word of YEA! throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Perfect for those connected with middle and high school networks, such as teachers, athletic coaches, and troop and religious leaders.
